We’ve rotated this photo because he has it upside down! Ogham is supposed to be written from bottom to top. It reads “Herman” from a Germanic name consisting of the elements harja- “army” and mann- “man”. We can also see some circular patterns here around the ogham characters, which is common on ogham tattoos, though is not tradition.
